Although I spent many years in marketing I never let go of my childhood dream of being an artist. When I finally left the corporate world I could not have anticipated the satisfaction that awaited me. Eric Liddell, the great Olympian and subject of the movie, Chariots of Fire, was asked why he ran. He stated, "God made me for a purpose and he made me fast and when I run I feel His pleasure".
I can't articulate it better than to paraphrase him. God made me for a purpose and He made me an artist and when I paint I feel His pleasure. The fact that people have responded to my work is truly a gift and I hold it with open hands hoping His pleasure flows through my art.
